About the Materials:

• Solid Colors: The material on the solid colored designs is Pololo's organic cotton which is very breathable.
• Patterned Designs: Pololo has integrated the SEAQUAL® YARN into their Chico patterned designs. This is a beautiful and water-repellent textile material that consists of around 10-15% recycled marine plastic and around 85-90% recycled post-consumer plastic from land. Pololo does not usually use polyester fabrics for their production, but they found the Seaqual Yarn concept convincing and sustainable. Thanks to the commitment of the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, plastic waste is collected and recycled: by around 400 partner fishermen off the Spanish and African coasts and by voluntary initiatives that collect on the beach and in the rivers. Every 2 pounds of SEAQUAL® YARN produced corresponds to 2 pounds of waste. The SEAQUAL INITIATIVE focuses on plastic waste.
