Why Shop Koel?

Koel is focused on making sure that, first and foremost, every pair of footwear they create is safe for their consumers and their crafters. Their Portugal factories use only chrome-free materials and safe rubbers, textiles, and foams to create their products. This protects their workers from harm and your children from heavy metals!

When materials of apt quality don't exist in the barefoot sector, Koel rises to the occasion. They focus on finding the best quality, most sustainable materials for every part of their shoe they can find. If they don't find the PERFECT material, they create it with a team of material fabricators!

Babies, toddlers, and children all walk a little different. As you learn to move and get taller, your stride and gait change significantly. Koel recognizes this and engineers their footwear to provide natural movement unique to each developmental stage rather than as a blanket design for all ages.
